Swami Vivekanand Medical Mission Hospital has been selected for outstanding contribution in the field of medical services of humanity. The award ceremony was held on January 12 at Nehru Center, Worli, Mumbai.
Bhai Ghannaiya award is given in the memory of legendary historical figure Bhai Ghannaiya contemporary of Guru Govind Singh, who was pioneer and crusader of humanitarian services to the injured soldiers on the battle field during battles between Sikhs and Mughals. He treated injured soldiers regardless of the camp they belonged to.
