Advanced Treatment for Heart related ailments
In times when the rising healthcare costs often become unaffordable for the poor, SVMM is looking for avenues to raise money and garner other types of support to facilitate better heart related non-critical and critical treatments (pediatric and adult) for deserving rural & urban population from Nagpur district and central India.

Situation in Target Population
Prevalence of Pediatric heart diseases is about 19.14 per 1000 individuals. Majority (58%) of patients are diagnosed between 0-5 years of age. Many children are born with minor or major heart defects are in need of immediate medical attention. However, there is lack of awareness, resources, (sometimes lack of access to medical facility) to deal with symptoms, cure, & take steps for prevention.

Owing to the changing lifestyle & environmental factors, instances of heart related diseases are rising both in urban & rural adult population leading to significant loss of man hours & life. Patients in the lower & middle income groups cannot afford treatments like ANGIOPLASTY, BYPASS SURGERY.

ADOPTING MULTI-PRONGED APPROACH
• SVMM has launched project to spread awareness about risk factors via presentations, exhibitions and other suitable means
• SVMM is Holding FREE Diagnostic Camps for rural and urban populace (with fewer means & resources) to facilitate early screening & detection of prevalent risk factors and prescribing treatments.
• SVMM is arranging further evaluation of disease, advanced care and treatment for individuals identified with symptoms facilitating appropriate treatment of the condition.
