OUR FUTURE PROJECTS

A.   Construction
We have now plans to construct
  • Indoor ward for surgical patients,
  • Nursing School In 1997 we started a Nursing course for educated girls of surrounding rural area. The girls who have passed 12th standard and who can not reach city for further studies have no opening in rural areas; this Nursing course provides them a chance of professional learning and a source of livelihood. This will also help our hospital as we will get trained Nurses.

The Nursing course is on the lines of Govt. Training course for Nurses.

Now the Nursing council of India recognizes this course for the training of the Multipurpose Health Workers.

A school building and a hostel is proposed to be constructed with –

    4 class rooms Staff room
A Laboratory Room for administrative staff
A Library Hostel for 30 inmates of nursing school

All this will need funds (approximately) to the tune of Rs 40-50 lakhs

  • Quarters for resident Doctors, Nurses and other paramedical staff.
  • Ambulance Garage for 2 Vehicles
  • Boundary wall on North East side of the campus (Approximate 600 running feet)
  • Administrative Office approximately 1000 sq. feet.
  • Garden & Miscellaneous work in surrounding premises

Apart from construction program the task before us to fully equip all wings of the Hospital so that the patients from villages are not required to go to city and incur unaffordable expenditure & suffer disease / death just due to lack of sufficient money.

B.   Updating Eye Hospital:

Over years we have realized that Cataract patients operated by conventional methods takes 2 to 3 months (minimum) to rehabilitate themselves. Many of them are temporarily unfit to earn bread for their family, and are daily wage-farm / field workers / industrial labors etc. & can not afford to take full visual rest for 2 to 3 months. Small Incision (3 to 5 mm), Suture less, Phaco surgery with P.C. I.O.L. implantation will restore their eyesight ‘Quicker & Better’ at affordable cost and even free to deserving poor. Necessary skill and infrastructure is already available with us.

  1. Phaco emulsification Machine: Expected cost: - Rs. 4.5 to 7 lakhs.
  2. Related specialized surgical instruments & equipments: - Expected cost: Rs 2,30,000.00
    Item Expected Cost

    Diamond Knifes Rs 085 000
    Titanium Instruments Rs 050 000
    ETO Sterilizer Rs 075 000
    TOTAL= Rs 2 30 000.00
  3. Auto- Refractometer: Expected Cost: Rs. 2,00,000 to 3,50,000. 00 This will enable us to correct refractive errors of large no of patients in less time as well as screening of large no of school children for Ametropia (Refractive errors), an increasingly common but most neglected problem of rural school children in India.
  4. Hand held Slit Lamp: Rs.13000.00
  5. Nd- Yag Laser : Appr. Cost Rs. 8 to100000 . 00
  6. Automated Perimeter: Approx Cost Rs. 800000. 00
C.   Computerization of Office:

Intra hospital Computer network in various departments in Arogya Seva Kendra at Khapri. Approximate cost Rs.4 lakhs.

D.  Safe Drinking Water Supply:

Construction of Bore well, fitting of a suitable pump, construction of a Overhead Storage Tank / under ground sump, Pipe line connections & Water coolers with Water filters in 3 hospital Buildings. Rain water-harvesting project. Estimates Cost $ 6000 ( 2.5 lacks )

E.   Alternative Electrical supply:

Presently we have 2 portable Kerosene Generators proving inadequate with constant increasing needs of our hospital. Hospital now needs a bigger Diesel generator of 10 to 15 KV capacity with auto start/off panel (AMF) with necessary fittings and fixtures.

F.   Solar Powered lighting for campus & water heaters
